How do I love thee

Alone at the bench waiting for a moment,
Procrastination is all I can do,
We meet in my imagination,
Reality is where I want to go

The tree sat there through summer,
Seeds not planted still remain,
A seed of hope and a future,
Where laughter overcomes the pain

Summer flora on the swing,
A tree sheds its wing,
Cascading through the air, flowing with the wind,
Lifeless, astray and losing its ink.

I discover the feather lying astray,
There is no blue ink at bay,
The blood in me is red,
I must write to you before I go to bed.

How do I love thee, oh don’t you already know,
You hear my epiphany at the strike of a bow,
The blood in me is bright and red,
I must write to you before I go to bed.

Away from separation, a child is born,
Lifeless till it sees a new dawn,
A new dawn indeed has come,
A gunshot is not how it is done,

The moments all bring me to this,
How do I break you from your bliss?
The blood in me is bright and red,
I must write to you before I go to bed,

Ticking like a clock, the journey leads in circles,
Impatient the man breaks the singular girl,
A loop is made intended for expansion,
The truth is hidden, awaiting extraction.

How do I love thee, oh don’t you already know,
You hear my epiphany at the strike of a bow,
The blood in me is bright and red,
I must write to you before I go to bed.

It is here, I want you to take a pause,
Silence yourself, listen to the beat,
Flow with the melody, it is playing still,
Close your eyes; lift off your feet

How do I love thee, oh don’t you already know,
You hear my epiphany at the strike of a bow,
The music is now close to an end,
Time just an illusion to mend,

How do I love thee, oh don’t you already know,
Be my epiphany as I strike my last bow,
The blood in me is faint yet red,
I close my eyes while you lay lifeless on my bed.
